Pike Central Farm Market On The Move

This vacant bus lot at Old Georgetown Road and Executive Boulevard will be the new location for the Pike Central Farm Market

A busy winter has produced some big changes for Bethesda-based Central Farm Markets, including a new location for its White Flint market and an entirely new market that will open in May across the Potomac.

Because of Pike & Rose construction, the Pike Central Farm Market had to move from its previous perch in one of the parking lots of the Mid-Pike Plaza.

On Wednesday, CFM announced it will open on Saturday, April 26 in a large and mostly empty bus parking lot near the Shriver Aquatic Center and Bethesda North Marriott:

Pike Central Farm Market will re-open on Saturday, April 26 at a NEW location while the construction at Pike & Rose is taking place…but it’s not far away at all! We will be in the large bus parking lot at the intersection of Old Georgetown Rd. and Executive Blvd. with the entrance on Executive Blvd. The market will be open every Saturday from 9am-2pm with over 40 vendors.

The address is 11561 Old Georgetown Rd. It’s the future site of a mixed-use residential project from Gables and could serve as a small preview of how that area would work as the envisioned central gathering space of the new White Flint.

The spring version of the flagship Bethesda Central Farm Market will open this Sunday, April 6 at Bethesda Elementary School (7600 Arlington Rd.) with hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Sunday and 60 vendors.

The market also announced its opening a third location at the Mosaic District in Fairfax. Developer Edens chose CFM, which is planning a grand opening and ribbon cutting on Sunday, May 4 at 8:30 a.m.

As for new additions at the Bethesda Market, expect vendor Lobster Maine-ia, Bethesda-based Gepetto Catering BBQ and Kensington-based Indian food vendor Ms Curry.
