Ledecky Talks Rise To Fame At Pool Where She Grew Up

County Cable Montgomery recently visited with Bethesda native Katie Ledecky at the Palisades Pool in Cabin John, where the world’s best women’s distance swimmer started out as a six-year-old.

Ten years later, Ledecky is the world record holder in the 800- and 1500- meter freestyle and has an Olympic gold medal and four golds from this summer’s World Aquatics Championships in Spain.
