Weekly Crime Report: Feb. 11 to Feb. 19

Police are looking for three suspects who they say robbed a victim with a handgun in North Bethesda on a recent Friday night:

An armed robbery occurred at the intersection of Nebel Street & Old Georgetown Road in North Bethesda on Friday, 2/15 at approximately 10:30 p.m.  The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property

Suspect: B/M, 20-25, 5’7”-5’9”/170-200 lbs., handgun; B/M, 20-25, 5’6”-5’8”/150-160 lbs., B/M, 20-25, 6’/170 lbs.

On the same day, not far from the above incident, police reported an unsuccessful robbery attempt:

An attempted robbery occurred at the intersection of Tuckerman Lane & Ralston Road in North Bethesda on Friday, 2/15.  The suspect unsuccessfully attempted to forcefully remove property from the victim.

A theft from vehicle occurred in the 10700 block of Hampton Mill Terrace in North Bethesda on Monday, 2/11 between midnight and 7:50 a.m.  Vehicle parts were taken.

A theft from vehicle occurred in the 5000 block of Nicholson Lane in Kensington on Monday, 2/11 between 1:20 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.; a cell phone was taken.

A theft occurred in the 8200 block of Beech Tree Road in Bethesda sometime between the afternoon of Wednesday, 2/13 and the morning of Thursday, 2/14.  Construction materials were taken.

Three thefts from vehicles were reported this week, all occurring during the early morning hours — between midnight and 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, 2/14. Two scooters were taken from a trunk parked on 75th Street and loose items (cash, sunglasses, gloves etc) were taken from two different vehicles parked on Braeburn Place in Bethesda. Unknown entry.

A theft from vehicle occurred in the 10100 block of Grosvenor Place in North Bethesda overnight from Thursday, 2/14 to Friday, 2/15.  Unknown entry; wallet taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 5100 block of Sangamore Road in Bethesda, overnight from Thursday, 2/14 to Friday, 2/15.  Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

An incident of graffiti occurred in the 5700 block of Tratton Place in Bethesda sometime between Thursday, 2/14 and Friday, 2/15.
