Man charged in robberies of fast-food restaurants

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Montgomery County police have charged a man with five robberies of Subway restaurants in a month. Two of the restaurants were robbed twice.
Detectives arrested 24-year-old Timothy Luke Howell on Friday. He is charged with armed robbery and other offenses.
Police say Howell robbed subway restaurants in Germantown and Gaithersburg between Nov. 4 and Dec. 5. Officers say in each crime, a man showed a handgun and demanded cash.
