Tuesday - 10/29/2013, 6:24pm  ET

LONDON (AP) -- Cesar Azpilicueta seized on a defensive blunder and Juan Mata also scored and Chelsea dumped London rival Arsenal out of the League Cup with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday.

The fourth-round loss ends one route to a trophy for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who is under pressure to deliver the club's first silverware since 2005.

But Jose Mourinho has a quarterfinal to look forward to in the competition that gave him the first trophy of his first Chelsea reign in 2005.

Manchester United will be joining Chelsea in the last eight after Javier Hernandez scored twice in a 4-0 victory over Norwich.

Fulham was beaten 4-3 by second-tier club Leicester, but West Ham overcame lower-league opposition, winning 2-0 at Burnley.

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) -- Malaga ended a three-game losing streak with a 0-0 draw at Espanyol in the Spanish league.

Malaga went close twice in a five-minute span before halftime when Roque Santa Cruz hit the crossbar and Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casilla did well to deflect Eliseu Pereira's shot onto the post.

Espanyol striker Sergio Garcia had a good chance to get the win in the 86th minute when a counterattack led by Bifouma Thievy left him with only the goalkeeper to beat. But Malaga's Willy Caballero made a save.

BERGAMO, Italy (AP) -- Inter Milan's winless streak at Atalanta was extended to 5½ years with a 1-1 draw in Serie A.

Ricardo Alvarez gave Inter the lead in the 16th minute with a shot from the edge of the box, but German Denis equalized for the hosts with a header in the 25th.

Inter last won in Bergamo in April 2008. Since then, the Nerazzurri have lost twice and drawn three times.

Still, the draw moved fourth-place Inter one point ahead of Fiorentina and within eight points of Serie A leader Roma.

Atalanta is eighth, 14 points back.
