PITTSBURGH - The Washington Nationals have signed left-handed reliever Michael Gonzalez.
The 33-year-old Gonzalez was 17-21 with 56 saves and a 2.94 ERA in nine seasons with Texas, Baltimore, Atlanta and Pittsburgh. Gonzalez split time with the Orioles and Rangers in 2011, posting a 4.39 ERA in 56 appearances. He pitched in eight postseason games for Texas, including three appearances in the World Series.
Gonzalez will report to the team's training facility in Viera, Fla.
