Dodgers introduce Greinke

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- New Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Zach Greinke (GREHN'-kee) was introduced to the media today, two days after finalizing a six-year, $147 million deal.

The deal is the richest for a right-hander in history.

Greinke split last season with Milwaukee and the Los Angeles Angels, going a combined 15-5 with a 3.48 ERA in 34 starts.

The right-hander finished the season going 5-0 with a 2.04 ERA in his last eight starts after Aug. 24.

The Dodgers have also added left-hander Ryu Hyun-jin (ree-YOO' hee-YUHN-jihn), signing the South Korean star to a six-year, $36 million contract.

Greinke says he decided on the Dodgers because he believes they have a team in place that could win the World Series for several years. He says their offense is as deep as any team in baseball.
