He's been ruled out of this week's showdown game with AFC North leader Baltimore while he recovers. Doctors are concerned about the rib, which could puncture his aorta is jostled around.
HOUSTON (AP) -- Houston Texans linebacker Tim Dobbins has been fined $30,000 for a helmet-to-helmet hit that gave Chicago's Jay Cutler a concussion. The hit came in the second quarter of Houston's 13-6 win on Sunday night when Dobbins hit a scrambling Cutler after he threw a pass.

(AP) -- The Chicago Bears still don't know if quarterback Jay Cutler will be available for Monday night's showdown with San Francisco after he suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss to Houston. Coach Lovie Smith said Cutler is improving but that if he's not ready, the Bears have a solid backup in Jason Campbell.
