Bad weather affects police radios in Md.

WASHINGTON — Bad weather is to blame for a problem with the radios at Montgomery County Police and Fire.

A police spokesman says the storms knocked out the primary radio system for the two agencies just before 7:30 p.m.

Police say they are on a backup system that allows them to reach all officers and firefighters in an emergency situation.

Police say the issue will not affect their ability to respond to emergencies.
