3 stepsons charged in Md. man’s slaying

PORT DEPOSIT, Md. (AP) — Maryland State Police say an 11-year-old boy is among three people charged with first-degree murder in the February slaying of their stepfather in Port Deposit.

Police announced the charges Thursday in the shooting of 47-year-old Vincent Robertson. The other defendants are a 14-year-old boy and 23-year-old Alishawaine Monk.

Police say they are children of Robertson’s wife. They were living with the couple when Robertson was found injured in his home Feb. 17.

Monk was awaiting an appearance before a court commissioner at the Cecil County jail. No defense attorney is listed in online court records.

The 14-year-old is charged as an adult and is being held without bond.

The Maryland Department of Juvenile Services is working to bring the 11-year-old back from Philadelphia, where he was found staying with relatives.
