Dogs attack deer inside school (Video)

WASHINGTON — Three deer are dead after being attacked by two dogs inside Southern Middle School in Lothian, Md.

Anne Arundel County police say when they arrived at the school on Solomons Island Road early Monday, they found a German Shepherd attacking a deer in the lobby.

A second deer with bite marks was in distress near another doorway.

Because of the severity of their injuries, those two deer had to be euthanized.

The third deer, trapped in a narrow hallway, suffered extensive injuries and died of its injuries.

Police say the second dog at the scene was possibly a black Lab mix.

Neither dog had a collar on. Animal Control managed to gain control of one dog inside the school. The other was captured near the front of the school.

The dogs remain in the custody of Animal Control. Police say the owners of the dogs have been located.

The school did not open Monday.

Police released this video. It is not graphic and does not show the attacks.
