Monday - 3/10/2014, 5:48pm  ET

LAUREL, Md. (AP) -- In a story March 9 about a fatal motorcycle crash, The Associated Press reported erroneously that Narvie Tyrone Foster was killed in the crash. Foster owned the motorcycle but was not driving it at the time of the crash. Police on Monday identified the driver who was killed as 17-year-old Gregory Lee Anderson of Jessup, Md.

A corrected version of the story is below:

Anne Arundel County police say driver of stolen motorcycle killed in crash with SUV

LAUREL, Md. (AP) -- Anne Arundel County police are investigating a fatal crash involving a stolen motorcycle and an SUV near Laurel.

The vehicles collided late Saturday night at Route 198 and Race Track Road. Police say it appears two motorcycles were heading west on Route 198 as the SUV was turning left onto Race Track Road. One motorcycle struck the side of the SUV, ejecting the motorcycle driver who was a juvenile male.

The motorcycle driver was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the SUV was flown to a hospital in serious condition. The driver of the second motorcycle fled the scene.

Police on Monday identified the motorcycle driver who was killed as 17-year-old Gregory Lee Anderson of Jessup, Md.

Police say it appears speed was a factor in the crash.
