LANDOVER, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police are handing out flyers with the smiling face of a United States postal worker who was shot and killed while delivering mail in Landover, but they're saying little about the circumstances of his death.
Police haven't released any information about suspects or a possible motive in the slaying of 26-year-old Tyson Barnette of Upper Marlboro. He was found fatally shot shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday in a residential neighborhood.
The U.S. Postal Service says Barnette had worked for the agency for 6 years and that slayings of active-duty postal workers are rare.
The postal service is offering a $100,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment, along with the $25,000 being offered by Crime Solvers.
