Sunday - 10/27/2013, 7:30pm  ET

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Three Baltimore police officers are recovering after they were struck by a car while directing traffic outside a nightclub in southwest Baltimore.

Authorities say the officers were monitoring a crowd near The Bamboo House nightclub early Sunday morning on North Franklintown Road. That's when a Jeep crossed the road and hit three officers.

One officer fired several shots at the vehicle, but the car fled the scene. Police found the car a short time later in west Baltimore. The suspects had abandoned the vehicle.

The officers were taken to Shock Trauma and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
