Montgomery County police seek missing 14-year-old

WASHINGTON – Montgomery County police are searching for a Silver Spring 14-year-old who has been missing since Aug. 31.

Officials are looking for Alpha Omuru Barry, 14, of the 11600 block of Lockwood Drive. Police say they are concerned for Barry’s welfare as family members have not seen or heard from him since his disappearance more than three weeks ago.

Barry is described as a black male about 5 foot, 9 inches tall who weighs 175 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing a neon green T-shirt and camouflage pants.

Barry, who is familiar with public transportation, likes to frequent D.C., according to police.
