TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County Police have arrested a corrections officer they say pointed a handgun at a man who asked for payment after performing a sex act.
Twenty-six-year-old William Hawkins was charged with assault and other offenses Tuesday. He was released on $75,000 bail.
Police say a man met Hawkins online and agreed to perform a sex act for money. Officers say Hawkins went to the man's home Sunday and the man performed the sex act.
Authorities say Hawkins left without paying and the man followed him outside. Police say Hawkins pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the man, then left.
The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services said Wednesday that Hawkins, who was assigned to the K9 unit in the Jessup region, was put on leave without pay.
