Md. officer charged with malfeasance

Friday - 4/26/2013, 3:14pm  ET

PIKESVILLE, Md. -- Baltimore County police say an officer accused of engaging in sexual activity while on duty has been charged with malfeasance in office.

Officer Aaron Pross of Newark, Del., surrendered to police Thursday and was released on $50,000 bail.

Police say criminal and internal investigations found that 29-year-old Pross was on duty during consensual interactions with a woman he met online. When the allegations surfaced in January, his police powers were immediately suspended and he was assigned to an administrative position.

These charges relate to Pross' on-duty conduct, but police say detectives are continuing to investigate other allegations.
