ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown is meeting with federal transportation officials to talk about new projects in Maryland.
Brown is meeting in Washington on Monday with U.S. Department of Transportation Deputy Secretary John Porcari. Porcari is a former Maryland transportation secretary.
Last week, Maryland issued a request for information seeking private sector input on how to build transit projects like the Purple Line in the suburbs of Washington and the Red Line in Baltimore.
Last week, Gov. Martin O'Malley signed a bill to create a framework to help foster public-private relationships in Maryland.
