STEVENSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say the estranged husband of a missing Stevensville woman told investigators he left home when she arrived to pick up some belongings.
And state police say the husband told investigators that when he returned early Saturday morning, his wife's car was still in the driveway, but she was not there.
State police say divers returned to the Chesapeake Bay on Tuesday to continue searching for 51-year-old Robin L. Pope of Stevensville, who was reported missing early Saturday by her estranged husband. Authorities say teams will also search on land for evidence related to the disappearance.
Investigators say the couple's dog was also found dead Saturday near a pier outside a neighboring home, but it did not drown or suffer any traumatic injuries.
