HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. - Fire officials say an 86-year-old man has died in at two- alarm fire in his house at Havre de Grace.
Authorities say a neighbor reported the blaze about 4:35 a.m. Friday. Firefighters arrived to find flames through the roof.
About 50 firefighters from several communities battled the blaze. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries.
The Deputy State Fire Marshal's Office says the body of George M. Scott was found in a second-floor bedroom. An autopsy showed he died of smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.
Authorities say the fire caused at $200,000 in damage. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
