BALTIMORE - Former Baltimore Police Commissioner Fred Bealefeld has a new job.
WBAL-Radio (bit.ly/V2z0dA) reported Monday he will be teaching criminal justice at Stevenson University.
Bealefeld spent the last five years as police commissioner. He says the teaching post is a great opportunity for him to continue having an impact in criminal justice.
The university says Bealefeld will serve as a full-time Distinguished Professional in Criminal Justice and Instructor.
Bealefeld is known for using the phrase "bad guys with guns" to describe his main crime-fighting focus. He says he hopes the phrase will continue to spark debate about longer sentences for men and women who commit gun crimes in Baltimore.
