PYLESVILLE, Md. - Authorities say an 11-year-old boy has died in Harford County after being accidentally shot in the head by his 8-year-old brother.
A preliminary investigation found that the boys were doing yard work for an elderly neighbor when they found and removed a gun from a secure location Saturday. The Harford County Sheriff's office says the two boys took the gun to a wooded area in Pylesville and were playing with the gun when the 8-year-old accidentally shot his brother.
The victim later died. He was identified as Michael Alexander Szoke.
No charges have been filed, but the State's Attorney's Office will review the case.
