WESTMINSTER, Md. - The Carroll County Sheriff's Office says a man has been seriously injured when the lawn tractor he was riding fell over, pinning him.
Deputies say 73-year-old Gilbert Barnes was mowing the lawn at his Westminster home about 11 a.m. Tuesday when the vehicle hit a stump and rolled over.
Barnes' leg was pinned under the mower. He was freed and taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, where he was in serious but stable condition.
The accident is under investigation.
