GRASONVILLE, Md. - Authorities have recovered the body of a boater who was killed after a 21-foot pleasure vessel hit a stone jetty near the Bay Bridge.
Maryland Natural Resources police say the body of 43-year-old David Whitlow of Hebron was recovered Monday afternoon near the scene of the accident by the Charles County Dive and Rescue unit using side scan sonar.
The crash occurred around 11 p.m. Sunday at the Kent Narrows. Four people were on board the vessel at the time.
Two other people on board suffered serious injuries. They are identified as John Perry, 50, from Crownsville, Md. and Brenda Werner, 47, from Riva, Md. They remain hospitalized, and police say their condition is stable.
