MARBURY, Md. (AP) - A Marbury man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for kicking his roommate to death.
George Tanner was sentenced Tuesday. He had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of 49-year-old Luther Huffman.
Prosecutors say Tanner and Huffman got into an argument on New Year's Eve. Tanner admitted to police that he knocked Huffman to the floor, repeatedly kicked and stomped him and left Huffman while Tanner went to bed.
