Thanksgiving hours for D.C.-area grocery stores

WASHINGTON – Forget an ingredient for your Thanksgiving meal? Several
major D.C.-area grocery stores may be able to help you out with your last-
minute
needs.

Check the list below before rushing out your local grocery store. Thanksgiving
Day hours vary:

  • Safeway: All stores close at 7 p.m.
  • Giant: All stores close at 6 p.m. All pharmacies will be
    open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • The following locations will be open 24 hours on Thanksgiving:
    -10400 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda, Maryland

    -6223 Baltimore National Pike Catonsville, Maryland

  • Trader Joe’s: Closed
  • Whole Foods: Close at 5 p.m.
  • Harris Teeter: Close at 2 p.m. Stores will reopen at 8 a.m.
    Friday.
