Police: Arrest made in Northeast gun assault

WASHINGTON — An arrest has been made in connection with an assault that occurred
November 10 along the 1000 block of 16th Street in Northeast.

On Friday, police arrested James Woodley and charged him with assault with a
deadly weapon. Woodley, 24, was taken into custody at Washington-Reagan National
Airport as he got off an airplane.

Earlier this month, D.C. police went to the aforementioned address for a reported
shooting. A man was found shot and taken to a local hospital.

That was one of several recent shootings that’s taken place in the city’s Trinidad
neighborhood. Those with information about this case should call police at 202-727-9099.

Information can be texted to 50411. There’s a reward of up to $1,000 to anyone who
provides information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone else
responsible for this assault.
