WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) — Mikal Abdul-Saboor ran 37 times for a career-high 198 yards and William & Mary snapped a two-game losing streak with a 31-17 win over Delaware on Saturday.
Abdul-Saboor also ran for two touchdowns and tied Jon Smith for the seventh best single-game rushing performance for William & Mary (5-3, 2-2 Colonial Athletic Association). Abdul-Saboor’s second touchdown run gave the Tribe a 31-14 lead with 9:23 left in the fourth quarter.
William & Mary led 17-7 at the half and Abdul-Saboor scored his first touchdown midway through the third quarter to extend the lead.
Jalen Randolph sprinted 49 yards for a touchdown run at the end of the third quarter, cutting Delaware’s deficit to 24-14. But the Blue Hens (4-4, 2-2) would get no closer.
Wes Hills ran for 91 yards on 11 carries and Jerel Harrison had six catches for 90 yards and a touchdown for Delaware.
