Victim dies of gunshot wound in Prince George’s County, police investigate homicide

WASHINGTON — The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Suitland. The victim is identified as 27-year-old Maurice Donnell Featherson.

On April 25, around 7:30 p.m. police came to Curtis Drive after getting a report of a shooting, police stated in a Facebook post.

At the scene, Featherson was suffering from a gunshot wound. He died later that night in a hospital from his injuries.

Detectives are working to find a suspect and a motive. Currently, they do not believe it was a random shooting.
