Prince William County police asking for public’s help

WASHINGTON — Friday night in the Woodbridge area of Prince William County, Va. police officers went to 14342 Jefferson Davis Highway to investigate a shooting.

Prince William County Police Department issued a statement saying that officers arrived at the business, Platanillos Grocery & Jewelry, and located two adult female victims, both with gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The two victims were identified as employees of the business.

UPDATED: One of the victims, Glenda Marisol Coca-Romero, 21 years old, or Woodbridge, Va. died on the scene. The second victim, only identified as a 42-year-old woman also of Woodbridge was taken to a hospital with life threatening injuries.

“Witnesses reported three males entering the store followed by gunshots. The suspects fled prior to police arriving at the business,” Public Information Officer, Jonathan Perok writes in a statement.

“The suspects could only be described as black males, all reportedly wearing dark clothing with their faces covered. The investigation continues.”

A customer and an additional employee were also inside the store at the time of the incident and were unharmed.
