PRINCE GEORGE, Va. (AP) -- Police are trying to identify human remains that washed up on the shore of the James River in Prince George County.
Lt. Paul Burroughs tells The Progress-Index (http://bit.ly/JSGcdO ) that a resident discovered the remains on Saturday afternoon near the dead end of a road.
The remains have been sent to the Virginia State Medical Examiner's Office in Richmond to help identify them.
