Suspect in 2 bank robberies arrested in DC

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County police say a man suspected of committing bank robberies at two banks has been arrested after a bank robbery in Washington.

Police say 47-year-old Leonard Forrest of Rockville was arrested Dec. 6 in Washington after a PNC bank was robbed. Montgomery County police searched his home and say officers found items linking him to the PNC bank robberies in the county.

An arrest warrant has been obtained charging Forrest with robbing PNC branches in Rockville and Bethesda on Dec. 2 and Dec. 4. He is currently being held by police in Washington.
