WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) -- Members of the Winston-Salem State University football team will gather on campus Sunday to see if they are selected for postseason play following a brawl that forced the cancellation of their conference championship game.

The Friday fight in a bathroom at the CIAA championship game luncheon left the WSSU quarterback beaten and charges filed against a player from Virginia State University. The conference quickly canceled the title game set for Saturday in Winston-Salem.

A statement issued Saturday by WSSU says the team will gather in its field house to watch the NCAA Selection show at 5 p.m.

The Rams are 9-1 this season. The team lost to Valdosta State in the NCAA Division II championship game last year.
