ROANOKE, Va. (AP) -- A former neo-Nazi leader has been convicted of felony extortion in Roanoke.

William A. White was found guilty Friday by a federal jury. The 36-year-old White is already serving a prison term for soliciting violence against a juror.

White is a real estate owner in the Roanoke area who promoted a white supremacist agenda and hoped to build a national following.

The Roanoke Times ( reports that his conviction Friday stems from threats he made to his estranged wife while he was a fugitive in Mexico.

Two years remain on White's current prison sentence. Prosecutors plan to see that extended when he is sentenced on his latest convictions.
