NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- The fast-attack submarine USS Helena is returning to Naval Station Norfolk from a deployment.
WAVY-TV (http://bit.ly/GWmVXG ) reports that the Los Angeles-class submarine is scheduled to arrive at its homeport on Tuesday.
It's returning from the European Command, Central Command and Pacific Command areas of responsibility. The Navy says the submarine traveled more than 50,000 nautical miles.
The 360-foot ship has a crew of 15 officers and 129 enlisted sailors.
