ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) -- Howard County police have arrested a man they say broke into an Ellicott City home and inappropriately touched a teenage girl there.
Officers say Tuesday that 19-year-old Alan Jaramillo-Jimenez of Ellicott City has been charged with burglary, fourth-degree sex offense and other offenses.
Police say on Sept. 21, Jaramillo-Jimenez entered an apartment by cutting a screen on a window. Authorities say Jaramillo-Jimenez touched a girl over her clothing as she slept on a couch.
Officers say the girl woke up and the suspect fled, taking a laptop and cellphone.
Authorities say an investigation led to Jaramillo-Jimenez. Police say officers searched his home and found the stolen items.
Jaramillo-Jimenez is being held on $175,000 bond.
