MANCHESTER, Md. (AP) -- A Baltimore County police officer killed in the line of duty is being laid to rest.
The funeral for Jason Schneider is scheduled for Saturday morning at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Manchester. The viewing was held Friday.
Schneider, a tactical officer and 13-year veteran of the force, was fatally shot inside a Catonsville home early Wednesday while serving a search warrant. The man police accuse of killing him was also shot and has died.
Schneider leaves behind a wife and two children, and officials say he's the son of a retired Baltimore City police officer.
