RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- A Prince George County woman is due in court for sentencing for bank fraud.
Shannon S. Hamilton's hearing is set for Thursday morning in U.S. District Court in Richmond. She pleaded guilty in May.
According to court records, Hamilton misappropriated about $155,000 in customers' funds while working as the manager of a SunTrust branch in Colonial Heights from February 2008 to November 2011. She used the money for repayment of her own 401k loan and living expenses. She also repaid some victims with money taken from other victims.
Prosecutors are asking Judge John Gibney to impose a sentence of two years, three months. Hamilton's attorneys are asking for sentence at the low end of the federal guideline range, which starts at one year and nine months.
