The Washington Post reports ( ) that a deed filed with county courts shows that a Greenwood Racing affiliate bought the land near Indian Head Highway and Old Fort Road last month for $1.4 million.

Greenwood owns the Parx casino outside Philadelphia and its bid for a license to build and operate Maryland's sixth casino in Prince George's County was a surprise.
