TOWSON, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County residents are gathering for an anti-crime rally and awards ceremony.

The Citizens on Patrol Rally Against Crime is scheduled for Friday evening on Allegheny Avenue, at the circle, in Towson.

Baltimore County Police Chief James Johnson is among the officials expected to attend the 13th annual event, which honors people and groups who work to fight crime.

Members of the county police department will be honored along with Patrick Kammar, a freshman honors student at the Jemicy School, who acts as the organization's youth ambassador and spokesman.
