DANVILLE, Va. -- More than 160 derelict properties in Danville could be demolished under a proposal before City Council.
The project would clear a backlog of 166 properties targeted for demolition at a cost of about $2 million.
City manager Joe King is proposing using excess funds to cover the cost.
The Danville Register & Bee (http://bit.ly/11Toblk ) reports that the council is scheduled to vote on the project during its meeting Tuesday night.
