HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Hagerstown's mayor says he expects the City Council will make a decision on a site to build a new stadium for the Hagerstown Suns by mid-July.

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports Mayor David S. Gysberts said Friday that the city continues to do "everything we can to keep the team viable in Hagerstown." Gysberts also confirmed he met with Suns majority owner Bruce Quinn on Tuesday.

The Suns, a Class A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, currently play at the 82-year-old Municipal Stadium. But the team says the stadium is no longer up to Major League Baseball standards.
