BRISTOL, Va. (AP) -- Bristol police say a high school student has been charged after several people were shot recently with pellets or BBs.
Sgt. Steve Crawford says 18-year-old Joshua Dillon Clark of Bristol was arrested at his home Wednesday. He was charged with two counts of unlawful wounding and five counts of assault and battery.
The Bristol Herald Courier reports four children were among eight people shot by an Airsoft rifle last week. No one was seriously injured.
Police said nearly all of the victims reported the shots came from a red car.
Clark was released from the Bristol Jail after posting a $5,000 bond. Crawford says charges against a second suspect, a 17-year-old boy, were still being processed.
It wasn't immediately known whether Clark has an attorney.
