RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is recognizing Virginia as one of the top three states for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Gov. Bob McDonnell's office says the report highlighted the state's one-stop business program that lets entrepreneurs complete the steps required to register their businesses and find resources to help them grow.

Virginia ranked sixth in the Chamber's report last year.

Among other findings from the report released this week was that Virginia ranked high for its concentration and growth of science, technology, engineering and mathematics jobs.

According to the report, Virginia also has the highest share of business establishments in high-tech industries.

The report also found that Virginia ranked first in general standard of living, which is measured by median family income adjusted for cost of living.
