SPOTSYLVANIA, Va. (AP) -- A man wanted in connection with the shooting death of a security guard at a Spotsylvania County nightclub has been arrested in New York.

Spotsylvania County Sheriff Roger Harris announced Monday that Chauncey Lampkin was arrested in Mount Vernon, N.Y., after he was involved in a disturbance at a local bar. Harris says Lampkin provided a false name to police, but his fingerprints revealed his true identity and a murder arrest warrant for Spotsylvania County.

Lampkin faces charges in Virginia in connection with the March 30 shooting death of Marcellus Greene, a security guard at Q-Ball's bar.

Lampkin faces drug and other charges in New York. Virginia authorities are seeking Lampkin's extradition.
