CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) -- More than 38 people face charges following their arrests at this year's Foxfield Spring Races in Albemarle County.
Police tell media outlets that most of the charges are alcohol-related. There also were three narcotics arrests and one arrest for cocaine possession.
Police also issued 61 traffic summonses.
More than 170 officers from the Albemarle police and sheriff's offices, the Virginia State Police, the University of Virginia Police and the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control staffed the races on Saturday.
