BALTIMORE (AP) -- A Baltimore police spokesman says a 24-year-old Frederick man is facing murder charges for an Inner Harbor stabbing death that followed an argument over a woman.
Police said Monday that Matthew Darby has been charged with first- and second-degree murder for the death of 20-year-old Anthony Black. Police say Black had left his job in the Inner Harbor and met his girlfriend when the two were approached by Darby and another man about 2:15 a.m. Sunday.
Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi (goog-lee-EL-mee) says an argument started over the woman and Black was stabbed repeatedly in the chest. The police spokesman described Darby as the aggressor and says investigators haven't decided yet whether to charge the other man.
Guglielmi said he did not know if Darby was being represented by an attorney.
