CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- The University of Virginia has announced the 2013 recipients of the highest external honors given by the Charlottesville school.
The Thomas Jefferson Foundation Medals in architecture, law and citizen leadership are jointly sponsored by the university and the nonprofit that owns and operates Monticello.
This year's recipients are Federal Bureau of Investigation director Robert Mueller, Teach for America founder Wendy Kopp and landscape architect, author and professor Laurie Olin.
The awards announced Tuesday will be conferred on April 12.
