STEVENSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities are continuing the search for a missing Queen Anne's County woman.
Maryland State Police said Monday that 51-year-old Robin L. Pope of Stevensville was reported missing Friday night by her estranged husband.
Authorities say divers and a sonar-equipped boat were searching waters near Pope's home, and aerial and ground searches were being conducted.
Troopers said the couple's dog, an 11-year-old Great Dane, had been found dead Saturday by a pier at a neighboring home. Police say a veterinarian examined the dog Monday and found that there were no external traumatic injuries to the animal. State police said the animal had large tumors in its upper torso, and it did not drown or die from external injuries.
