ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore city officials plan to attend a rally in Annapolis to show support for a plan to renovate or rebuild up to 65 city schools.
Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake and Baltimore City Schools CEO Andres Alonso are scheduled to speak at the rally Monday night.
The proposal would create a block grant each year in the state budget for the city's schools, and the city would be able to leverage that to borrow more money.
